ان اتحاد لجان المراة للعمل الاجتماعي مؤسسة نسوية وطنية، تهتم بشؤون المرأة وقضاياها وتدعم مشاركة النساء في مختلف نواحي الحياة الاجتماعية، الاقتصادية، الثقافية والسياسية سعيا لتحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية والقضاء على كافة أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة. يعتمد الاتحاد مبدأ حقوق الانسان كمرجعية له ويستند الى الاستراتيجيات الوطنية والاتفاقيات الدولية في عمله. تاسس الاتحاد عام 1981 من قبل مجموعة من النساء الرياديات القياديات الوطنية في فلسطين، وقد تم تسجيله بشكل رسمي لدى وزارة الداخلية بعد قدوم السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية عام 2001، كمؤسسة غير حكومية غير ربجية تحت الرقم المتسلسل QR-118CU منذ تأسيسه عام 1981 نجح الاتحاد في استقطاب ألاف النساء الفلسطينيات، ومد يد المساعدة لهن في مختلف الجوانب الحياتية وفي ظل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها وما زال ابناء شعبنا الفلسطيني حيث تمكن الاتحاد أن يؤسس ويشرف على العديد من المراكز والمؤسسات في القرى، البلدات والمخيمات الفلسطينية من مراكز تدريب مهنية، رياض أطفال وغيرها من المشاريع والتي ساهمت في توفير الكثير من فرص العمل للنساء مما ساعد على تخفيف وطأة العوز والحاجة لدى العديد من العائلات الفقيرة ومنحها استقلالية اقتصادية واعطاءها مكانة لائقة ودور فاعل وملموس في عملية صنع القرار والتنمية المجتمعية على أكثر من مستوى. قام الاتحاد وفي عام 2004 باستحداث الإدارة العامة للعلاقات العامة والمشاريع، والتي أصبحت بدورها المحرك والمنظم الرئيسي للبرامج والمشاريع التي يديرها الاتحاد، حيث ساهمت هذه الإدارة على تطوير الأداء ومواكبة التطور وتعزيز القدرة على تصميم وتنفيذ البرامج والمشاريع النوعية والتي تخدم بدورها المجتمعات المحلية وخاصة المهمشة في فلسطين، مما عزز قدرة الاتحاد على توفير الخدمات النوعية لأكبر عدد ممكن من قطاعات المجتمع الفلسطيني.

The Association of Women Committees for Social Work (AWCSW) is a leading Palestinian non-profit nongovernmental Women's rights- organization, that is mainly involved in empowering Palestinian women and girls, aiming for gender equality and the eradication of all forms of discrimination against women and girls'. Through empowering and mobilizing women’s participation in the struggle against the Israeli occupation, the contribution to the development processes, the promotion of woman’s political, economic and civic rights and the expansion of women’s access to justice through improving psychological well-being among women and girls, and combating gender-based violence. AWCSW was founded in June 1981 by a group of Palestinian women activists, and officially registered with the Ministry of Interior Affairs since 2001. Since its inception in 1981, AWCSW has left no efforts in its quest to serve the Palestinian community in general and women and children in particular, answering the urgent nation calls and advocating in fierce- at various hard conditions-for the elevation of Palestinian women to take and maintain its position within our community. AWCSW has focused for many years at promoting the social, educational, economical and political development of Palestinian women, and spend greater efforts in raising women's awarness of their legal rights in order to promote their participation in the decision-making processes, protect their rights and to encourage development. It has launched thousands of projects, which played a prominent role in offering services to Palestinian women and contributed in securing many working opportunities for them who were in great need for assistance, including the establishment of Kindergartens, nurseries, children liabraries and vocational centers, and a range of other income-generating project.

تتمثل رؤية الاتحاد في ضمان حق المرأة الفلسطينية في الحصول على فرص متكافئة على قدم المساواة مع الرجل في جميع الميادين، رؤيتنا هي أن تصبح المرأة الفلسطينية مكتفية ذاتيا بصورة أكبر ومعترف بها في المجتمع بصورة تامة، حيث اننا في الاتحاد نسعى الى تقديم المزيد من الدعم الى المرأة الفلسطينية كمدافع صلب عن حقوقها، نسعى الى تطوير مهاراتها وتعزيز قدراتها، لجعلها قوة دافعة للتغيير المجتمعي. لا يزال هناك الكثير الذي يجب القيام به، ولكن هناك ايضا العديد من الانجازات التي يمكن أن نبني عليها وذلك من خلال البرامج الخلاقة والمبتكرة التي تتلائم مع الواقع الفلسطيني الذي تعيشه النساء الفلسطينيات من أجل تطوير قدراتهن وتعزيز مشاركتهن في الحياة السياسية والمجتمعية.

Our mission is to attain gender-equality in a democratic Palestinian society, to which end we focus our efforts on promoting the social, educational, economical, and political development of Palestinian women and girl’s, including advocating for women’s rights, eliminating discrimination against women including GBV, advancing women’s capacities and leadership skills, promoting their participation in the decisions that affect their lives, and amplifying their voices for peace and security at the national and global levels.

يسعى الاتحاد الى تحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين وتعميق مفاهيم الديمقراطية في مجتمع فلسطيني تسوده قيم الحرية والعدالة والمساواة، ونتطلع الى تعزيز مكانة ودور المرأة الفلسطينية وتمكينها من ممارسة حقوقها الانسانية في المجال الاجتماعي، الثقافي والاقتصادي، على قدم المساواة مع نظيرها الرجل، بما في ذلك تعزيز مشاركتها الفاعلة في الحياة السياسية والمجتمعية وصولا الى مواقع صنع القرار على كافة المستويات من أجل مساعدتها على حماية حقوقها لتكون قادرة على قيادة مجتمعها نحو التقدم والتطور.

AWCSW strive to create a future in which all Palestinian women will be viewed and treated equally as men, in all aspects of life; civil, political, economic, social and cultural. Our vision is that all Palestinian women become self-sustaining and remain well recognized in their community, well respected and truly empowered. We will also seeks to continue our role as advocate of women's rights, promoter of women capacities and driving force of social change.
